Yandex joins MSCI Russia 10/40 Index with 9.44% weight

MOSCOW, Aug 20 (PRIME) -- The MSCI Russia 10/40 Index has included Class A shares of Internet company Yandex, the index’s provider MSCI said on Thursday in a quarter review.

According to the chart, Yandex has the weight of 9.44% in the index.

BCS Global Markets experts said that Yandex won the most from the revision of the index and replaced metals giant Norilsk Nickel in the top four companies in the MSCI Russia 10/40 Index.

The changes will take effect on September 1 together with the rebalancing of the parent MSCI Russia Standard Index.
